Not a garter snake. It is a dekay's brown snake.



Thanks, I overlooked that one on the MA list.

Don't believe I've ever seen one in the flesh.

Based on the light dorsal strip and the dots I thought it might just be a variation of the garter snake pattern.

Oh well, better to be mistaken...............
