26 grains of varget and 55 grain Sierra game kings is what I load for my AR. It is a stock DPMS with a 4x scope and it shoots a 3/4 to 1" 5 shot group at 100 yds. That should about cover it for hunting or anything else.
I had good luck with a load of 26.0 grains of Varget and 55 grain NBT's that load would consistently shoot .3' and .4's out of an older heavy barrel Savage rifle.
