People need to stop being a "color" and start being Americans again.
Not going to happen
Maybe there truly is fundamental differences that simply won't allow cultures to live amongst each other in peace.
Not sure of anywhere/anytime in history that it has worked on a large scale.
Cultures perhaps.
Color (s) make not a spit of difference. (in my experience, all across this country, except the Deep South)
A person of any "color", adopting and adapting to a different culture can generally do well in that culture.
Grandpa came from Sicily and had the job as a young man of going to family gatherings and speaking only English. Telling the relatives they were in a new country and we speak English here. How did they expect to do business with the Irish ice man (yes, it was a long time ago), Jewish deli owner, German baker, Polish butcher, etc.
