Someone reminded me of it last week so we got up at 3:00 am sunday to go look for it. Didn't see it from the yard (we're down in the trees) so we drove up to the main highway (an open buckthorn flat). I didn't see it right off, I was looking too much to the east, but once I saw it, it was pretty obvious. I had my old gold ring 10x42s and a gold ring 12-40x spotting scope ... very very impressive. It was worth getting up early for. Definitely.

It was lower / closer to the horizon than I thought it would be and I think more NNE than NE as I'd been told.
