Back in the Mid 1990's, when these were shall I say inexpensive? I bought an 1894CL in 32-20. I later sold it as the accuracy was rather dismal. I tried several different reloads to no avail.

Hornady in their reloading manual at one point extolled the great accuracy they got from their 1894CL in 25-20.

So those that have owned one of the 1894CL's in 32-20===> did I just get a rare lemon, or was the accuracy of the 32-20's not that great?

Those that own (or owned) one of the 1894CL's in 25-20, was Hornady's experience typical (that the 25-20's were accurate) or did they just get a good one.

I ask as the sights in my Browning 53 (in 32-20) are not working for my eyes anymore, and I am considering getting one of the 1894CL's (which I can mount a scope on) in either 25-20 or 32-20.

Thanks in advance guys,

Jerry
