I think some of the problem maybe relative to where people live. I’ve never had any major issues with fed ex or UPS on the receiving end. Usually no minor issues either. But we typically have the same delivery persons for a while, it’s not uncommon to have conversations with the drivers upon delivery.
It isn't always the driver. Stuff happens at hubs and in transit.
