From a historical stand point, it was the Springfield that was the gun that won the west. Winchester used the phrase as a marketing tool.
When you hold and shoot a Trapdoor, image the tales it could tell....
Sharps (paper cartridge) won the west, then trapdoors followed. Then Winchester.
Martini too, faster to reload, not as accurate as a Sharps.
Heres my 95% condition 1883 - cartouched trapdoor. Bury me with it please.
