What is the general opinion on GM barrels? On average, are they accurate?
I ordered one about 6 weeks for my 77/22 and it finally arrived this week, I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet as it's still in getting fitted, and the stock re-bedded, but I was a little disapointed with the overall finish. The flutes looked quite rough - as if they had been cast. And I had to get it recrowned. But the bore is highly polished, so I'm hoping it'll shoot at least.
