I don't think that Green Mountain barrels are lapped when they are sold. You might consider running a tight fitting patch loaded with JB Bore Paste down the barrel 100 strokes to polish it. It will make the barrel shoot better. Then you will have to try different brands of ammo to see what shoots best. Wolf Match Target shoots very well in many of my 22 Rimfire rifles.
