Anyone else read the Vice story from the link in the NYT article?

The dude is oops, was a whack job.

They saw fit, as most news outlets always do, to point out that he was a "father of two"....................Honestly, WTF does that have to do with anything?

Some father, bringing his daughter to protests that have every indication they could turn violent. Such a good dad he races with his kid at well over 100MPH on public highways, while illegally in possession of a firearm. And such a good family person his own sister said she hadn't seen him in 3+ years because of increasing conflict with him.

And the bit about acting in self defense because
