I designed a lot of electronics for the F-16 in the 1980s and 1990s .
They would send fighter pilots to the factory for public relations.

The pilots look like pro ball players with perfect health, perfect posture, well prepared, and lots of confidence.

The few engineers that really design new stuff look like they are about to die. Lack of sleep, stress, and thinking too much.
