I have mostly used the 50-grain LF Ballistic Tips in the .223, but must admit I don't use the .223 nearly as much for any kind of varminting as I used to. But tend to prefer both Hornady and Nosler lead-free plastic-tips to other brands, whether in .17, .204 or .224 caliber, due to their higher ballistic coefficients. (Yes, Hornady recently started offering 15.5 grain NTX .17s as components, not just ammo.)
