Unless you are shipping something very heavy; Flat rate is not a very good deal any more. Small box is $7.65 and medium is $13.20 now. I ship a LOT of USPS packages and rarely use these
This has always been the case, First Class tends to be cheaper and it travels in the same manner as Priority. And yes Regional boxes are a few bucks cheaper to use but have weight limits on them, I have also heard they are going to discontinue the Regional boxes don't know how true that is though.
