I used to have a William Evans double in 450/400 3 1/4 Nitro Express. Used it on a couple cow elk in heavy timber in my native CO. I handloaded it with 400 gr Woodleighs and it tipped elk over real nice. In a serious case of advanced stupidity I sold that rifle.
