Have maybe 3 shirts that fit for church or the other 3 times a year I dress up.

I don't have casual clothes,
there's new for going away,
once stained or faded they become,
work clothes.

For keeping warm I wear a lightly insulated Carhart vest or a light, or heavy
Carhart zippered hooded sweatshirt.

Mix and match. The vest and the heavy sweatshirt are a winter combination.
If it's cold, a cheap fleece zippered shirt gets added.

I grit my teeth when the females in this house mention a hoodie.
The nearest project is 40 miles away, I sincerely doubt a "Hoodie" will
ever set foot in my house.

The only things that's zippered are t-shirts and polo shirts.
Don't like pullover stuff, and it's too hot.
If you get hot, you have to either sweat or take it off.
Zippers allow adjusting how warm you are.
And I rarely zip up unless it's cold and I'm out for a long time.
