I recently had this project completed. I used a #1 action again as the platform and had the action modified by removing the small tabs at the bottom giving it a much more squared appearance. The squared metal on the bottom ahead of the lever was rounded and the safety recessed. The stock is highly figured English walnut with a buffalo horn forend tip. All the metal was case colored even the barrel band for the front sling. Tally QD rings sit on a custom quarter rib and the scope is a Leopold Vari X 3 3.5x10. I went the classic caliber route and chambered it in 300 H&H
