If going when its a bit colder, add a lightweight layer underneath. My kids wore it in 70 degree days with no layer underneath to snow on the ground with a layer.

I’ve been wearing microtex pants for 15 years. Cant see the need to buy anything else they are really tough and long lasting. I do wear the “light” version for early archery elk. November I just wear regular microtex with long underwear below. They dry pretty quick, cut wind good and breathe. gave up on my goretex pants even in the cold and rain. Hard shell rain gear pants if it gets real bad but I almost never wear them even in heavy rain. Cant seem to want to pony up for the $300 first light unpronounceables. My buddy’s are full of holes and stitching after just a couple seasons.
