Maybe I can help. Here is what is going on.
1) Most Americans of today in general are apathetic and frivolous, not really serious people. Most worship money to the exclusion of all else.
2) The news media is a propaganda wing of the Democrat party. They are going to smear any GOP politicians. Say in some alternate universe Cruz would have won in 2016. They would have been on his ass just as bad. Its tough to beat a 4 year, 24 hour a day misinformation campaign.
3) Communist took over the education system when God was kicked out. They have raised an adult generation that believes Socialism is a good thing, that there are more than two genders, and that if little Johnny has two mommies or two daddies, that is just peachy. Useful idiots for the communist.
4) In addition to this, the Communists cheated their asses off in this election.
