I picked up a 340 in .225 a few years ago, tried to get it to shoot on some factory ammo that I found with no luck. It had a factory Savage scope on that I couldn’t get to adjust enough to hit paper. I bought a weaver K4 and put on it but haven’t messed with it. I’ve have a few .220 swifts and a couple 22-250s so I thought this would be an interesting cartridge to mess around with. I’m finally getting my reloading bench setup again so I plan to work up a load and see if will shoot. I did find a 340 in .22 hornet that shoots great. There is something about odd ball or less popular cartridgages that enjoy. It’s probably what attracted me to the 99s, well that and my grandfather collected them 😁
