This is the original break off of my 30- 378 , it was one of the first of these rifles built , when this happened the recoil let me know something bad happened, after we realized what had happened we searched for a long time looking for the break we gave up and cleaned up and got ready to leave we went to retrieve the targets that we had been shooting when we found where the break had went thru the 100 yard target about three inches to the right of the bullseye ! We got a shovel and dug it out of the backstop !
As you can see the original breaks, the taper started on the first round of holes making a week spot in the unit, they sent me new ones for the other two rifles I had at the time , and we never had another problem, but that gives you an idea of the force that these breaks experience during firing.
They are great rifles, and a lot of fun to shoot !
