I like the number of Alaskans response in this thread. Makes me proud to my bones.

On W4Bear. About 9 years ago we had a kid that got caught with a 22 lr rifle rolled up in a rug in the back of his pickup that he parked in the school parking lot. A kid ratted on him. They were going to put the hunting kid who was a member of Team Tits- a group of very smart bookish young hunters who all had big trucks, snomachines and other rec vehicles in jail for a long time. I reached out to him and at that time Alaska's NRA had Wayne Anthony Ross and his firm representing firearms owners. They had six attorneys that came up and met with the school administration and legal counsel. The kid was free and back in school after the hearing. Not a single teacher gave that kid an unexcused absence or failed him on a test. I don't know what he did to you guys but he is alright in my book.
