Windfall & Aalf: Do you think it is some kind of twisted joke? Or that somebody went to all the trouble (and some expense!) to fool with people? Could it be made for a person confined to a wheel-chair or something like that?
From a normal "shooting position" I can NOT figure how a person (the one firing the Rifle!) could get any of their thumbs into that hole.
Oh well - I just love Varmint Rifles and thought I had seen most everything in the way of Varminters.
