Talley uses 6061 aluminum. 6061 has a yield strength of 40,000 PSI & a hardness of 95 Brinell


Leupold uses 7075 aluminum. Numbers for it are 75,000 PSI & a hardness of 150 Brinell.


Superior metallurgy in the Leupolds. Not gonna throw my rifle over the bank to find out. But just from knowing the alloys, I'd know the Leupolds are very likely to be stronger.
