None of this has anything whatsoever to do with race...
It has to do with division.
When I was in high school I was on the track team and there was this event called the high jump.
A bar was set across two poles and you tried to get over it without knocking the bar off of the polls.
The bar was not racist, nor sexist... it was irrelevant whether you were Gentile or Jew.
Some people would complain terribly... so the coach took the bar off of the posts and laid it on the ground.
Even with the bar laying on the ground some people refuse to step over it.
