it also makes a difference on load range etc. I run LT series KO2's on my half ton. YES the ride is harsher, my are D rated, but e rated would be stiffer. but I have to have LT series tires for them to survive in the high desert. The p metrics that come on the f150's are much softer. its just a different spec. don't blame the tire.

back in the late 80's and 90's when radial tires weren't built as well, michelins were about the only brand that wouldn't develop defects and tread separations. now days lots of great tires out there. I personally have had terrible luck with every goodyear tire I have owned. maybe its just me, I dunno but they have all sucked for me. YMMV
