Like you, GW, I've killed a boatload of hogs with a VMax... .223 55gr. Shoot 'em in the ear.

That works well for standing shots!

But when hogs start running and you have to try for shots through the boiler room, your advice for bigger, heavier bullets is spot on.

I've been using a .308 165gr sp for those. Even then you wanna hit them right, or they'll go a ways. wink
