Depends on the make of the vehicle in my experience. After market works on some vehicles, but not well on all of them. Our GMC's get the OEM wipers from the dealer because the adapter kits for that model SUV are not nearly as secure. The OEM stuff lasts for years and doesn't squeak, streak or click. You don't need to drive too many miles with wipers that don't work well to convince you to spend the extra for the good stuff.
