It's been long understood by medical science that vaccinations for coronaviruses (e.g., the common cold) are impractical due to the rate of mutation, i.e., many times faster a mutation rate than, for example, influenza. The only viable approach to dealing with a coronavirus, therefore, is to focus on symptom treatment and supportive therapies.
