We see the difference in how different cultures handle things. In China, they locked down the Wuhan district and kept the virus there (except for that which was exported to and accepted by other countries). In other words, China inconvenienced the residents of one area to protect the rest of the country. In North America, we inconvenienced the entire population in order to avoid inconveniencing or hurting the feelings of those who wanted to fly in and the trend continues. We didn't even consider stopping travelers from flying into the US or Canada and never considered quarantining flights, regardless of where they came from. Instead, we told our own residents to stay home. Later, rather than preventing the import of new variants, we told our residents to stay home some more. Our leaders are idiots and we are idiots for listening to them. GD
