Ah, the old Mossberg Chuckster .22 mag. was my buddy and my first varmint rifle. I think that we both had those 3/4” .22 scopes on clamp mounts on them and just taking them out of the gun case seemed to change the poi. Going to the range first thing in the morning to re sight in was an early memory. Not that we could have even afforded a quality 1” scope with our adolescent incomes, but I’ll bet a good scope on that Chuckster sure would have made into a better varmint rifle.
