Haven't seen any real scalping locally, and I check 4 shops regularly. Have even found some stuff, for what might be called mildly inflated prices.
A good example was the two 1-pound canisters I found about 6 weeks ago, priced at $38/pound. The store limited all powder purchases to 2 canisters, so I bought 'em both.
A few days later found an 8-pounder of H4350 at another one of the stores, for $289. Again, not exactly cheap but not scalping. Bought it too, and a couple days later ran into an acquaintance who said he REALLY needed some H4350, and did I know where any could be found. I sold him the pair of 1-pounders for what I paid for them.
Did go to the local gun show (which was cancelled last year) after all that, and saw plenty of scalper-type prices. But didn't see many people buying.
That's the new normal price and I doubt if it will go away.
