The guy I talked to that was part of Blackhawk down doesn't think the AR or in his case M4 was devastating enough. He said the skinnies could take 3-4 solid hits and still keep fighting for a few minutes.
The left will send people to jail for airsofts and BB guns so we aren't going to let them dictate what we can have based on their perceptions of devastation. A school kid in a Trump hat is devastating to them.

The Somalis were skinny as a toothpick and wore baggy sheets. Made it really hard to shoot center of sheet and hit anything. Navy had M16A1's and Marines A3's. Think the M4's were issued starting in '94? Not sure about the Delta Force guys. I left in May '93 and they came later. I was in Hawaii during Blackhawk Down. Heard about it over the radio driving on the highway North of Kona. Felt odd not being there.
