Remember that the .375 WCF was chambered in specially-strengthened M94 actions. Too, M94 receivers have varied metallurgy, from relatively mild cast iron to forged steel to sintered steel and back to forged. Depending on the age and metal used - even if it fit - I wouldn’t use the .405 WCF chamber. In the 1970s I sent a forged M94 in .30-30 to P. O. Ackley for reboring to .38-55. I’ve never regretted that move.
