I own a number of high-end hunting rifles, from various makers. None are anywhere close to being as accurate as the Savage 110 Ultralite 6.5 PRC I acquired earlier this year. With a Proof Research barrel, and the Accutrigger set at 2 lb., it shoots sub-.5 MOA with several different bullet weights in my handloads. Add in the all-up, with scope, weight of 7.5 lb., and this is simply a great combo for mountain hunting.
I doubt that Shaw would use the Savage action as the receiver for their custom rifles and barrels if they didn't think it was a great choice.
