Well shoot, I was leaning towards bringing my 30-06, a 1963 Remington 700 with a 20" factory barrel, back to life with reduced jacketed bullets. Now, Mr Gnoahhh, you just might have swayed me to trying cast again. I'll, of course, look back over my notes but I don't recall the SR 4759 standing out among the loads I tried. I don't have much SR4759 but why not shoot it and since I recently acquired some RCBS 30-180 boolits. They were recommended for my 30-30 but I haven't tried them either. Have you tried any AA5744 as a substitute?
