One of my baseball teammates got hammered on Schaeffer one night in Reno. Don't ask me how, but he wound up driving a street cleaning machine back to the hotel from the Peppermill casino. When we got back it was in the hotel parking lot, still running, with the door open.
Buddy got a call from the cops one night at 2:00am, asked if one of his employees had clearance to run his skid loader. He said, of course he does, why?
Cop says, like right now? Buddy says it’s 2am on a Saturday night, of course not, why?
Cop says, we’ll he’s driving it through town tweaking on meth.
