Got to thinking. Bad thing. Do they still use those old smugde pots at the rifle range? Like we did in boot camp? We used em to blacken the front sight on our rifles while at practice and qualification.
at matches we all used carbide miner's lamps. Open the reservoir, spit on the carbide, close it, and stare a spark like a cigarette lighter. Later they came out with a spray can of black stuff but it wasn't as black.
