I just used Mr. John’s method on a little over 2k 5.56 brass. About half way thru it occurred to me how I could have saved one trip thru the press for all those cases. I’ll be ordering a .17 cal expander button and spindle to put in my .223 REM sizing die. That way I can punch the dead primers and size the case at the same time without touching the reduced neck. Then install the .224 button to push size the neck. Duh. That would have saved 2k pulls on the Rockchucker. But at least it occurred to me before tackling the next project. Should also work with other cartridges by stepping down one size on the expander.
