Momentary question while enjoying this Thread, as suggesting gathering of Persian mauser expertise Eagles here!


A nondescript pre WWII FN carbine matching barreled action in 8mm, purchased in "Bubba-art" stock remnant; latter discarded. Dropping the metal into a stock with handguard, bands etc, identified as a Persian carbine. Where it's yet resting. Fit & function perfect and looks decent except for the handguard. Apparently for a full tangent sight rather than carbine reflected on the FN. My presumption the Persian carbine utilized this longer length tangent sight.
The question of whether I have the correct handguard for the stock reflected in the several pix below.
