I think a lot of it is the cosmic lottery. I know people who drive the same roads I do that have never hit a deer, and others who hit several a year.
If the road is dead and I’m solo and going slow enough or have a chance to brake yes, I’ll juke to miss a deer. Outside of that fugk and now. Also, best way to get a deer in the road to move is to drive straight at them like you want to spill their guts. If you doubt me try it.
