I feel a 2-7x33 is perfect and it looks balanced. The 20mm makes it look back heavy visually. I think a 2.5x in Talley rings looks good on the 16” models.

I understand the feelings on scoping a levergun but I’ve come to realize underscoping and not wringing out its potential is where they get a bad rep for accuracy.

Yeah you can stretch the range out with a 2.5 in the open but it ain’t worth a crap for picking a shot through cover.

No reason a 30-30 ain’t a kill everything in North America at 250 yard gun.
