Never served.

But I've known some from both categories.
Even some draftees that freely admit they did what they were forced to do.

People get a little hung up on military service.
They are a cross section of America.
From the best and the brightest,
to no darn good.


I'm not saying that his military service gives him a pass from anything that happened after, but being an infantry officer in the 10th mountain in Italy was a little different than many of the examples "stepping stone" military service you can find out there.
