I can't handle any corn whiskey, after a near-death experience in my very early 20s. The mere smell will have me hurling. Scotch has such a varied palate it's impossible for me to say. So much variation. The ones I have enjoyed tend to be high priced; to me, decent mescal is as enjoyable and with at least as varied nuances. I prefer rye whiskey over either bourbon or scotch for just relaxing.
