I've wondered why so few .223 bolt rifles are out there also. I looked for the right one for a couple of years and then walked into a local gunshop Saturday and they had a new old stock 2016 production Model 7 in .223 with 1:9 twist. For less than $650 OTD, I couldn't resist.
I've got a Model 7 stainless in 223 that stays in my truck, 1-9 twist. It's a good shooter too. One of my favorites.
