That is a Brown Precision. The rifle was built by Ken Gennecco of Stockton Ca for me in 1985 when there weren't a lot of options for lightweight hunting rifles. It weighed 7lbs 2oz with sling and 2-7 Leupold Compact when it was built. With the 2.5-8 and several coats of paint it has, like me, put on a few oz since then.


Methinks you are a sandbagger. I’d hardly call that a plain Jane rig. With that stock and scope, I’d call it an ideal all arounder! The fact that you hit a few inches farther back than intended seems fortunate and saved you a few pounds of burger. Nice job. The only flaw I see is on your target photo. You didn’t even hit the bullseye!😁
