That is a Brown Precision. The rifle was built by Ken Gennecco of Stockton Ca for me in 1985 when there weren't a lot of options for lightweight hunting rifles. It weighed 7lbs 2oz with sling and 2-7 Leupold Compact when it was built. With the 2.5-8 and several coats of paint it has, like me, put on a few oz since then.

You mean to tell me that there is actually someone on here that put together an "all around rifle" and has stuck with it for 35+ years?! Can't be......
Couple years back I got a T3X in 30-06 and put a Loopy 2.5-8 on it for the same purpose. Looks to be in good company.

Ask yourself, how did we all survive before the internet? or smart phones...
some folks just keep on truckin with what has worked for decades and don't feel handicapped...
