I plant as much as I can and as many variety of crops as I can at several different times of the season. My experience is that deer like whatever taste good at the time. And sometimes only for a couple days. So hopefully they like it on a weekend when I can be there. I plant small patches different sizes depending on the crop and wedge them towards the blinds.
