Same here. Love my 725 280 Rem. Mine does have a pad but otherwise it’s very nice.

Nice looking 280. I had one ( on loan ) that I didn’t keep.
It Didn’t have as nice a wood , as yours appears to have.

It was accurate enough, but I wanted one that I could rechamber to an RCBS or Ackley Improved,
And for that purpose I wanted a 24” or longer barrel. Kicking myself now of course, 725 in 280 Rem , classic piece !

This was probably the beginning of my loonieism , Ha
