I was 6 when it popped. My dad made a fortune cleaning up the ash. They bought sawdust and added water to control the ash when sweeping....they then dumped the sweepers in a pond where the sawdust floated. They recoverd it and repeated the process.

I would not buy something that runs on any kind of primer given the possibility of primer shortages and even regulations. In fact, why not buy a flintlock? Really. Rocks aren't going away anytime soon.
