That looks good. I'm going to tag in to remember this recipe. I had a good ham hock from a Costco spiral sliced a few weeks ago that I should have saved.
BTW does anyone know that Brazilian beans and rice dish. [bleep] is my futile attempt at spelling it. It has sausage in the beans too and it's usually very good. One girl I went to grad school with would finish it by simmering a whole orange in the middle of the pot. Her old family recipe was the best.
